One of the most important professional relationships you have is with your direct line manager. Over the years, I have had my fair share of leaders, and these experiences stick with you throughout your career, as examples of good and bad leadership.

In life, there is one constant-change. I have onboarded dozens of people in both Amazon and TikTok and there is a consistent tip I give all new hires which is you need to get comfortable with change. Now, as a Life Coach, I help individuals and leaders embrace change with clarity and confidence.

A theme which often features during my mentoring/coaching sessions is confidence. One of the tools I suggest when mentoring people with confidence issues is to take more of an active role on LinkedIn.

At one point in my career, I sat in a performance review and once the summary was finished my manager said you seem to be disappointed. I went on to explain that given my time in the company, the results I had delivered, and the peer support I had provided, I believed not only should I be progressing in levels but that I should be moving into people management.
